Michael Godley's athletic career has been one of adjustments.
Not only has he made the transition from the football field to the soccer field over the last couple of months for the Starkville Yellowjackets, but he has also changed positions in soccer.
SHS boys soccer coach Brian Bennett has moved Godley out of the goal and right into the thick of the action.
Godley has accepted the role and has become one of the go-to players on offense for the Jackets.
"Coming out of the goal last year where he was such a good player, he has very much stepped it up this year," Bennett said.
