Starkville Academy picks up home soccer win

January 17, 2014

The Starkville Academy Volunteers picked up a win over Hillcrest Christian on the soccer field Monday, but coach Cole Andrews said it did not feel like a true win.
On Friday, the team changed all that as the Volunteers picked up a “confident” 3-0 victory over visiting Washington.
“(In) our last win against Hillcrest, we struggled so much during that game (that) it was hard to even feel like it was a victory,” Andrews said. “Coming out in this game, really taking control and playing to the width we have been practicing was very rewarding for them and that makes me very happy going into the next game.”
