SHS girls pick up soccer win

COLUMBUS – The Starkville Lady Yellowjackets picked up a Class 6A, Region 3 soccer victory on the road Tuesday by defeating Columbus 7-0.
Lexi Turner got the scoring started for Starkville and added another goal in the first half. Cailee Helen McClain had four goals and Anna Nicole Underwood had the other score in the second half.
The Lady Jackets improved their records to 7-4-3 overall and 2-3 in the region. They host Northwest Rankin for senior night along with the boys on Thursday.
