MSU allows Flanigan to stay around game

January 22, 2014

Flanigan

Basketball has always been a part of Wes Flanigan’s life.
Growing up the son of a high school coach, the sport was always present and as the Mississippi State University assistant coach, he knew he wanted to make sure it stayed that way.
“I always knew in the back of my mind that I always wanted to stay around the game of basketball,” Flanigan said. “Whether I could play it or not on a professional level was questionable, obviously I went through a little adversity going into my senior year, but I always knew and looked up to my dad as coach and wanted to be a coach. I didn’t know that I would get to this level as a coach, but it was something that I strived to get to as a goal.”
