Certain things are going to be said in the heat of battle.
They just are.
During sporting events, coaches shout things at players, teammates shout things at each other, coaches shout things at officials and sometimes officials shout back. Things can get out of hand in a competitive situation.
When rivals meet on the court or the field, emotions can get the best of an individual. No matter how much a person tries not to do or say something they may regret later, it does happen.
Mississippi State men's basketball coach Rick Ray got caught up in one of those moments during last Saturday's game against the Ole Miss Rebels.
