The Mississippi State Bulldogs are facing another top 15 team in Southeastern Conference women's basketball competition tonight.
As far as MSU coach Vic Schaefer is concerned, it doesn't matter who the next opponent is. He just wants the Bulldogs to keep competing.
MSU's next game is against No. 14 LSU in Baton Rouge, La., and Schaefer wants the fight he saw in last Sunday's 69-62 victory over Missouri to carry over into the 7 p.m. outing against another set of Tigers.
"As I told my players (Sunday), I don't care who the next team is," Schaefer said. "Whoever the next team is we'll deal with that in the scouting report. It's about us getting better and we've done that since the second half against A&M. I just want to see us go down there and compete. That's all I care about.
"I want to see us go in there and not worry about a thing. (Katia May, Savannah Carter and Dominique Dillingham) won't be. They won't be worried about who is up there talking about their family or any of that. They won't care and it won't bother them. That makes me a whole lot more easier to get along with when I have that kind of confidence with my team and players."
