Tripp Janssen has done a good job of adapting to whatever situation is presented to him.
After moving to Starkville from Ackerman prior to his sophomore year of high school, Janssen had to learn a new system with the Starkville Academy Volunteers.
Janssen became a three-year starter on the offensive and defensive line for the Volunteers and made steady improvement over the last three years.
That progress was rewarded with a scholarship to move on to Delta State University. He celebrated signing with the Statesmen on Wednesday morning at the SA media center with friends, family and coaches.
"He is a young man who provided the hard work, dedication and leadership," Starkville Academy football coach Jeff Terrill said. "We are glad that he was rewarded with the opportunity to play at Delta State."
