Three Starkville Academy Lady Volunteers bid adieu to their time playing in the home gymnasium on Friday.
Sallie Kate Richardson, Nora Kathryn Carroll and Maridee Higginbotham sent their time out on a good note as the Lady Vols defeated Jackson Academy 43-39.
“For our seniors to go out with a win is a memorable thing, but we didn’t bother scheduling somebody we thought we could beat,” Starkville Academy coach Glenn Schmidt said. “We played a conference game here because we want to be ready for next week and we rose to the occasion.”
