Coach John Cohen learned a good bit about his Mississippi State Bulldogs this weekend.
Mississippi State was originally supposed to play Hofstra, but due to winter weather around the south and on the east coast, it couldn't make the trip to Starkville and there was a switch in opponents.
The Bulldogs instead played the Western Carolina Catamounts.
No. 2 MSU capped off the weekend by beating Western Carolina 7-2 Sunday afternoon at Dudy Noble Field to take the weekend series 2-1.
