Forward Breanna Richardson has made 21 starts in her freshman season with the Mississippi State women's basketball team.
With each passing game, Richardson is becoming more and more comfortable with MSU coach Vic Schaefer's system and what is expected.
Richardson put together one of her most impressive outings of the season for the Bulldogs Sunday in a 64-62 victory over No. 16 Vanderbilt.
After scoring 16 points against the Commodores, Richardson was chosen the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week.
“It’s a great honor that I am very appreciative to receive,” Richardson said in a statement. “Sunday was a great team win, and hopefully many more accomplishments will come for us if we keep working hard.”
