The Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning Board of Trustees approved on Thursday improvements to cellular phone service infrastructure at Mississippi State University’s Davis Wade Stadium.

According to the board’s agenda, MSU requested permission from IHL to amend an existing lease with New Cingular Wireless (NCW), which provides the distributed antenna system multiple cellular service providers use to reach customers at MSU’s home football games. In June 2011, the IHL Board cleared MSU to lease 1,635 square feet of space to NCW for this structure.
