The season did not end the way the Starkville Lady Yellowjackets wanted, but there were some moments that can't be taken away.
Starkville experienced a 10-game winning streak toward the latter part of the season, finished as the No. 1 seed out of Class 6A, Region 3 with a 5-1 record and has a good 18-7 overall mark.
Even though the Lady Jackets lost to Clinton 76-52 on Monday and fell short of their goal of making it to Jackson for the Class 6A Tournament, SHS girls coach Kristie Williams saw her squad improve throughout the course of the season.
