MSU's Sword, Johnson reach scoring marks

February 26, 2014

There were a pair of Mississippi State Bulldogs who reached scoring milestones on Wednesday night.
In MSU's 75-68 loss to the Tennessee Volunteers at Humphrey Coliseum, junior forward Roquez Johnson went over the 500-point mark in his Bulldog career, while sophomore Craig Sword went over 700 points.
Johnson fell just short of tying his career-high with 19 points against the Vols. He scored 20 points earlier this season against Ole Miss and now has 518 points at State.
"I try to do whatever I can do to help my team whether it's rebound or run the floor," Johnson said.
As far as Sword, the nine points against Tennessee gave him 708 as a Bulldog.
