Fire destroys mobile home - Emergency responder rescues residents’ puppy from blaze

A Wednesday afternoon fire completely destroyed a mobile home, but Oktibbeha County volunteer firefighters saved a puppy who was trapped in a pen next to the burning building.

Oktibbeha County Fire Services Coordinator Kirk Rosenhan said the Bell Schoolhouse Fire Company responded to the incident, which occurred at 209 Lucy Faye Lane, at 12:52 p.m. Wednesday.
