Lady Wolverines let halftime lead slip away in loss

February 28, 2014

CLARKSDALE - At halftime, the East Webster Lady Wolverines enjoyed a one-point lead of 25-24 over Coahoma County, but in the final moments, the Lady Red Panthers turned it up a notch to win 52-39 in the Class 2A North Tournament.
“They came out second half and really picked up the intensity,” East Webster coach Todd Hutchinson said. “All of a sudden they start pressing and we went back and forth. They picked up the pressure and we just couldn’t handle it, but we hung in there until late.”
