Madison Central edges Grenada for North 6A title

Action in the Class 6A North Championship came down to the wire.
Madison Central and Grenada took the game down to the very last second and as the buzzer sounded, it was the Jaguars coming out as champions with a 46-45 win.
The title game was hosted by Starkville High School, but the Yellowjackets were not a part of the final after being knocked off by Grenada 61-43 on Friday night.
After completion of the first period, the Chargers held a slight two point advantage over the Jaguars at 10-8.
In the second period, roles reversed as Madison Central outscored Grenada 12-7 to enjoy a 20-17 lead at the half.
