Southeastern Conference women's basketball teams battled through a 16-game schedule to get position for the conference tournament.
The event begins on Wednesday in Duluth, Ga., at The Arena at Gwinnett Center and the Mississippi State Bulldogs will tip things off against Missouri at 5 p.m.
A 5-11 mark in the SEC is not where MSU coach Vic Schaefer wanted to be, but an 18-12 overall mark is a positive.
Schaefer looks forward to the opportunities the league tournament brings.
"We've got a chance to wipe the slate clean and it's not a bad slate," Schaefer said. "We've won 18 games this year. Let's go get hot and see where it takes us. How long can we play and play well? That's our approach right now. We're excited about playing on Wednesday night."
