Red Kettle campaign meets $40,000 goal

The Salvation Army announced Tuesday the top three volunteer groups that collected donations for the 2013 Red Kettle Campaign.

The campaign raised money for needy families in the area from Nov. 29-Dec. 24, and local campaign coordinator Debra Austin said the 2013 drive raised $40,777.44, surpassing its $40,000 goal.
