All of the elements are present for Starkville Academy to be successful.
The only thing is the Volunteers can't seem to get everything going at one time.
Wednesday was no exception.
While coach Jody Britt's squad was in the game the whole time, a few plays here and there left the Vols on the losing side of a 8-5 contest.
"Ground ball and two fly balls killed us," Britt said. "I feel like we hit well enough to win. I think we pitched well enough to win. I feel like we ran bases well enough to win, (but) we just didn't field well enough."
