Sturgis seeking 450K grant for wastewater pipe project

March 6, 2014

Sturgis Board of Aldermen voted Tuesday to pursue a grant for federally required changes to the town’s wastewater system that would otherwise cost the town more than $450,000

NPDES includes a series of requirements designed to reduce the amount of pollutants that stormwater picks up and carries into storm sewer systems and, eventually, into waterways.
