Eupora bounces back to defeat Vardaman

March 10, 2014

MABEN – The Eupora Eagles didn't let a tough one-run loss on Saturday keep them down for their next opportunity.
After losing a 9-8 decision to Houlka, the Eagles took a convincing 9-0 victory over Vardaman on Monday at the East Webster Classic Tournament.
“We just stuck to what we do,” Eupora coach Brad Mitchell said. “They are starting to buy in to what we do. Offensively, we put together some good at-bats. (There are) still a lot of things we have to work on. We walked the leadoff man four out of six innings. We can’t do that, but we played defense behind him and made plays when we had to.”
