Williams' work makes Lady Jackets winners

During tryouts last May, Starkville Daily News' Area Coach of the Year selection Kristie Williams and her new crop of Lady Yellowjackets basketball players made a pact.
No matter what was ahead, the coach and players were going to give it their all in hopes of achieving success for SHS.
“The girls started out in preseason just wanting to work,” Williams said. “They never did recant from our goals we set forth. To have such a tremendous group of young ladies this year, we knew going in that we had a special group.”
