Ross Mitchell will continue to be, well, Ross Mitchell.
The role of the Mississippi State junior left hander may be changing. Mitchell is not.
He has spent most of his Bulldog career in the bullpen, but after last weekend, it looks like Mitchell will be thrust into the starting rotation on Southeastern Conference weekends.
Mitchell doesn't plan on that affecting his personality as one of the big jokers and more peculiar players on the roster.
"I'm not going to change," he joked. "I'm going to have fun, be relaxed and drink a Mountain Dew in the dugout. That's just my style."
The Bulldogs lost to Georgia last Friday night to start SEC play. With a possibility of a doubleheader on Saturday, head coach John Cohen decided to start Mitchell on Saturday.
