City issues correction on travel expenses

March 25, 2014

The city of Starkville issued a correction on Monday to travel expenses it had previously released for Ward 6 Alderman Roy A. Perkins.

A document the city clerk’s office released last week indicated that Perkins had accumulated $1,079.57 in city-paid travel expenses from July 1, 2013 to March 18, ranking him 10th in that category among city officials during that time. The amended figure of $771.57 drops Perkins to 12th.
