Three of the areaâ€™s high school softball teams got a good dose of experience as it traveled a bit south to take part in the Neshoba Central Fast Pitch Softball Tournament.
â€śYou get to see different teams from different classifications,â€ť Starkville coach Wendy Jolly said. â€śYou get to see teams you donâ€™t normally see during regular season. We have two more weeks, then we start getting into playoff action so it gets you more experience.â€ť
Jollyâ€™s Lady Yellowjackets competed in a pair of games on Saturday. There was a contest with fellow Class 6A team Meridian first where Starkville walked away with an 18-3 victory.
