Adidas, MSU extend partnership

Mississippi State and Adidas announced a new seven-year agreement, as well as new specially made uniforms for both baseball and football.
MSU athletic director Scott Stricklin announced a a seven-year contract extension with the clothing company at a press conference on Thursday afternoon. The new contract will run through 2020, with 2014 serving as the first year. The contract is worth $17.5 million, including cash and gear. 
MSU and Adidas originally had deal worth $3 million over five years starting in 2009. Year one of the new deal replaces the final year of the old agreement. 
"It is going to allow us to continue that relationship," Stricklin said. "Adidas was very loyal to us when we didn't have a lot of options."
