SMITH COLUMN: MSU's walk-off win Super Bulldog-ish

April 13, 2014

Smith

It was pretty Super Bulldog-ish.
There have been some interesting outcomes for Mississippi State and Ole Miss sporting events lately.
When the Bulldogs were able to rally in the 10th inning to take a 6-5 victory over the Rebels in baseball on Saturday, it led to more than just one "wow."
MSU fell behind 5-2 when Ole Miss scored three runs in the top of the 10th and a few from the record crowd of 15,586 had decided to head for the exits.
Those who remained were treated to quite a comeback.
"I was glad our fans stuck around when we were down," State outfielder Derrick Armstrong said.
Gavin Collins drove home Matthew Britton with the winning run for the Bulldogs and it brought some life back into Super Bulldog Weekend.
