The Mississippi State Bulldogs didn't bring their best Tuesday night, but it really didn't matter.Â
The No. 22 Bulldogs took advantage of poor pitching by Alcorn State to beat the Braves 16-2 in a midweek game at Dudy Noble Field.
"We were not playing a SEC team, but I thought our offense came to life," MSU head coach John Cohen said. "I thought we took better swings, (and) crisper swings. I'm pleased with that."
After a rough two weeks offensively, the Bulldogs (23-15) pounded out 15 hits and left 11 base runners on.Â
