City Public Works Department achieves rare safety record

Starkville’s Public Works Department is already known as a “rarity” statewide for its exemplary safety record, but its employees continue extending that record to more unique heights.

In March, Public Works reached the milestone of five consecutive years without a lost time work accident, and the city plans to celebrate the milestone with a luncheon on Thursday for the department’s employees.
