Starkville High School girls golfers got the opportunity sharpen their skills on Wednesday afternoon and compete against Class III, Region 2 competition at the same time.
With already a ticket punched to the state tournament, the Lady Yellowjackets took to the Mississippi State Golf Course and finished second to Tupelo 187-226.
“The back nine was rough for all three,” Starkville girls coach Angela Hobart said. “They started on hole 10 and ended up improving as the day went on.”
