Missouri will always hold a special place in Mississippi State head baseball coach John Cohen's heart.
He was a graduate assistant with the Tiger baseball team from 1992-94, then was boosted to an assistant coach from 1995-97.
Cohen says he has been back one time to Columbia, Mo. He went with a couple of people in the MSU athletic department to tour the Missouri athletic facilities.
It will be a homecoming in a different way for Cohen this weekend, when he takes his No. 22 Bulldogs (23-15, 7-8) to face the Tigers (17-18, 6-9) for a three-game Southeastern Conference weekend series.
"My kids were born there and I have a degree from the University of Missouri," Cohen said. "That part of it is neat until we throw a pitch and then we're playing another SEC weekend."
