Mississippi State and Ole Miss will renew its rivalry on the baseball diamond again today.
The No. 20 Bulldogs (26-15) and the No. 12 Rebels (30-11) meet at Trustmark Park in Pearl tonight in the Governor's Cup. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. at the home of the Mississippi Braves.
‟The game (today) is a tough one,‟ MSU head coach John Cohen said after sweeping Missouri this past weekend. ‟Originally, going into it, we didn't know we were going to have a Thursday-Friday-Saturday series before we scheduled the Governor's Cup game. We'll go in there and compete with our hearts. When you're at your most tired and at the end of your rope, you can reach down and do some special things. Hopefully, we'll come out and play well.‟
