Ginger Brown-Lemm has found a good bit of success since taking over the Mississippi State women's golf program in 2010.
The team has won several tournaments and advanced to the NCAA Championships.
On Monday, Brown-Lemm led the team into new territory. The Bulldogs found out they were selected to the Central Regional for postseason play. It's the first time they've had back-to-back appearances regional appearances since the 2005 and 2006 seasons.
MSU was selected as the No. 11 seed. The Central Regional will be held at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Okla., May 8-10. The top eight teams advance to the NCAA Championships on May 20-23 at Tulsa Country Club in Tulsa, Okla.
“We are determined to finish off the record-setting year with another national championship push through regionals,” Brown-Lemm said in a school release. “We are hungry, more experienced and ready for Tulsa Country Club, but first comes Karsten Creek. We train daily to play our best when it means the most.”
