Bogue Chitto, French Camp begin series

April 30, 2014

FRENCH CAMP – It has been a week since French Camp lost a 19-5 decision to the East Webster Wolverines and it wasn't quite what coach Nathan Wright wanted to see out of his Panthers going into the Class A playoffs.
If French Camp could have gotten another game or two under its belt before taking on Bogue Chitto in the second round of the postseason, Wright believes it would have been a good thing.
Giving up 19 runs and only scoring five doesn't give the Panthers much momentum.
"We didn't play well (at East Webster) so we're a little concerned about that," Wright said. "I would have liked to have played a little bit more, but it just didn't work out that way. We just have to get out there and play. We haven't been able to practice much either because of the weather."
