MABEN – Two games was all it took for the East Webster Lady Wolverines to advance forward in the Class 2A playoffs.
After the Lady Wolverines took home a 9-0 victory over Mantachie on Wednesday, they came home to complete the sweep on Thursday by winning 12-5.
“This was two good wins,” East Webster coach Lee Berryhill said. “Mantachie came in, didn’t do much the first game we played over there. Our pitcher did a great job. (Thursday) she got behind a little bit, we made some errors to give them some life, but give our girls credit. They bounced back and answered the call.”
