WAIT COLUMN: League proves interesting with two series left

May 4, 2014

Wait

Is it just me, or is every weekend in the Southeastern Conference an entire spectrum of emotion?
This past weekend may have proved that, but every weekend seems to.
After losing the series at home to Texas A&M last weekend, Mississippi State went on the road and swept Auburn. The Bulldogs are now second in the SEC Western Division, and just one game back of in-state rival Ole Miss for the top spot in the division.
MSU ends the season with a home series against Tennessee and a very interesting road series at Alabama.
Going into the Auburn series, there was a good bit of uncertainty about the offense, but it did just enough in the first two games and exploded for 19 hits in the third game to pick up the sweep.
