Stansbury hired by Texas A&M

Former Mississippi State head men's basketball coach Rick Stansbury has found another coaching job.
This time as an assistant.'s Jeff Goodman reported Wednesday afternoon that Stansbury would be joining Billy Kennedy's staff at Texas A&M as an assistant.
Stansbury retired from MSU in March of 2012 after 22 total years with the Bulldogs, and 14 of those as the head coach. 
During his time as MSU's head coach, Stansbury compiled a 293-166 record. He won won Southeastern Conference Championship, five Western Division titles and made six NCAA Tournament appearances. He made the National Invitational Tournament five times.
Stansbury last served as an assistant when he worked under Richard Williams at MSU from 1990-98. He also served as an assistant at Austin Peay, Cumberland (Ky.) and Campbellsville.
In Texas A&M, Stansbury joins a program looking to rebound from an 18-16 record in Kennedy's third year as head coach.
The Bulldogs and Aggies will more than likely meet in 2015. They met twice in 2014.
