Charlie Henderson knows how to use his feet to kick a football and a soccer ball.
The area where he has reached new heights for the Starkville Yellowjackets is with track and field in the area of pole vaulting.
Henderson won the North State championship for the second-consecutive year at Madison Central last week with a vault of 13 feet and has qualified for Saturday's Class 6A State meet.
After achieving a vault of 13-6 during the season, Henderson has his sights set on 14 feet.
SHS track coach Steve Griffin believes Henderson is determined enough to reach that mark.
"He's not one of those guys that settles," Griffin said. "If he gets 14, he'll go higher, but 14 will all but lock up (the state title) for him."
