The physical pain of a burn injury is obvious, but few may realize the financial pain that comes along with the major medical treatment required for such an injury.

As the executive director of the Mississippi Burn Foundation (MBF), Amanda Fontaine works to help alleviate the burden of expenses for both burn victims and their families during the treatment and recovery processes. Fontaine also is a current nominee for governor of the District 6820 Rotary, and her presentation at Monday’s Rotary Club meeting emphasized the importance of spreading awareness not only of burn injuries but also of the services offered by the MBF.
