SSD board accepts old bond money

Starkville School Board unanimously accepted funds from a nearly 30-year-old bond during its regular meeting Tuesday night at the Greensboro Center.

The bond, which totals $474,081.13, was left over from tax money collected for a 1986 bond that was paid off in 2006.City Clerk Lesa Hardin recently discovered the money in a city account and notified school officials.
