MSU wins in 10: State defeats Georgia in extra-inning result at SEC Tournament

HOOVER, Ala. – Wes Rea had two chances to give Mississippi State a lead in the regular series finale at Alabama last Saturday.
He made up for at the Southeastern Conference Tournament. 
The junior had a pinch hit two-run double in the sixth inning to help lift the No. 5 seed Bulldogs to a 5-4 win over No. 12 seed Georgia in 10 innings Tuesday night.
Gavin Collins scored on a throwing error in the bottom of the 10th to give MSU the win. 
It's the second year in a row the Bulldogs have won the single-elimination game on the first day. Laster year they did it as the No. 5 seed and knocked off Missouri in 17 innings.
