HOOVER, Ala. – The Mississippi State Bulldogs saw the emotional roller coaster that is baseball in just one game.
The Bulldogs saw the Kentucky Wildcats tie the game four times, then Kentucky finally beat MSU 7-6 in 12 innings during a wild offensive showdown Thursday night in the Southeastern Conference Tournament at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.
The Bulldogs (37-21) will play Florida today at approximately 7 p.m. in an elimination game.
Zach Arnold hit a weak ground ball in the infield with one out that scored the winning run from third for the Wildcats.
"We walked too many guys and that was the main reason we lost this game," MSU baseball coach John Cohen said. "We had some unfortunate things happen."
