These are busy days for Tanner Clanton.
As a senior at Starkville High School, Clanton went through graduation on Friday night.
Clanton literally turned in his cap and gown for his baseball uniform as he left Starkville for Corinth right after graduation to participate in today's Northeast Mississippi Coaches Association for Better Baseball All-Star Game. The 3A-4A-5A-6A game begins at 7 p.m.
The opportunity to be with family and friends for graduation, then having the opportunity to meet new people through the all-star experience is a schedule Clanton doesn't mind juggling.
"I look forward to meeting and playing with new people," Clanton said. "The coach is from North Pontotoc. I will get to know him, meet my teammates and have fun."
