The Southeastern Conference Baseball Tournament presents an array of emotions.
Some teams must have a good showing to secure a spot in the NCAA Tournament. Some teams are looking to host and need a couple of wins, while some are trying to lock up a national seed.
None of those things were in the cards for Mississippi State this week in Hoover, Ala. The Bulldogs couldn't improve their postseason stock much while at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.
MSU went 2-2 and were eliminated Friday night by top-seeded Florida.
"Do we want to win this tournament? For sure, (but) win or lose, it's preparation for regional, super regional and get back to Omaha," MSU senior right hander Ben Bracewell said. "That's always the ultimate goal."Â
