Nothing lasts forever.
That is the lesson the now former Eupora Eagles coach Brad Mitchell is currently learning.
After enjoying one of his most successful baseball seasons that saw Eupora finish 17-12 with an appearance in the Class 2A State Championship game, the coach is departing to embark on a new journey as an assistant coach at Saltillo.
While it might be a new location, when Mitchell arrives as a coach of the Tigers, it will almost be like going home.
“I did my student teaching there and built a lot of good relationship there,” Mitchell said. “Eric (Reynolds), the head coach, was just coming back from playing minor league ball when I was there so we got to know each other a little bit. I know the people. I know the school and it is a good fit for me and my family.”
