Excited about opportunity: MSU to play at Louisiana-Lafayette Regional

Mississippi State fans won't have to travel far to see their Bulldogs in postseason play.
On Monday, the Bulldogs found out they were going to be playing in the Lafayette (La.) Regional hosted by Louisiana-Lafayette. 
"It's a tremendous challenge for our club and it's a very good regional," MSU head coach John Cohen said. "Our kids are excited about going on the road and having this challenge in front of us."
The No. 2 Bulldogs (37-22) will play No. 3 seed San Diego State (42-19) in the first game on Friday at 1 p.m. at M.L "Tigue" Moore Field.
The Ragin' Cajuns (53-7) are the No. 6 overall national seed and the No. 1 team in the country in the Collegiate Baseball and Baseball America polls. They will play No. 4 seed Jackson State (31-23) on Friday at 6 p.m.
The regional will be available to watch on ESPN3.
