Lafayette Regional may be tough ticket for Mississippi State

May 28, 2014

Seating at this weekend's Lafayette (La.) Regional may be tough to find for Mississippi State fans.
The capacity at Louisiana-Lafayette's M.L Tigue Moore Field stands at just 3,755. The Lafayette ticket office offered regional ticket booklets to all games in the regional for ULL season ticket holders.
The Mississippi State ticket office received the NCAA required 200 tickets from Lafayette, but weren't able to offer those to the public. According to a MSU spokesperson, those 200 went to players, coaches and MSU staff.
Bulldog fans may be able to purchase general admission tickets, but those won't be available until 10 minutes before each game.
If there are seats available, Louisiana-Lafayette officials will sell $10 general admission tickets 10 minutes prior to games not involving the Ragin' Cajun until full capacity is reached.
The general admission tickets will get fans into the ballpark and they will be able to sit wherever they want, but they will have to move when and if the ticket holder of that seat shows up.
MSU opens the regional with No. 3 seed San Diego State at 1 p.m. on Friday. Bulldog fans will more than likely be able to buy general admission tickets to this game.
If Mississippi State wins and the Ragin' Cajuns beat No. 4 seed Jackson State on Friday, Bulldog fans may not be permitted into the ballpark to watch the winner's bracket game between MSU and ULL.
