4 SHS Yellowjackets to play in All-Star game

June 6, 2014

A quartet of Starkville High School senior athletes have one more game under their shoes.
Taking place today and including Imane Montgomery, Dontavious Self, Richard Evans and Zeb Rice among its rosters, the Northeast Mississippi Basketball Coaches Association All-Star game will tip in Booneville.
Lady Jacket Montgomery will join her fellow all-stars for a game scheduled to start around 4 p.m.
“Imane is very excited,” Starkville coach Kristie Williams said. “Getting to play one more game and to close out with an all-star celebration is something she is excited about and I could not be prouder for her.”
The trio of Jackets will play their final game immediately following Montgomery and her teammates.
"I am glad they get the opportunity to play one more game," Starkville coach Greg Carter said. "It is an honor to get chosen. Those three were a big part of our improvement last season. They grew a lot as players, students and people."
