Vision for Mitchell at Eupora rewarded

Brad Mitchell had the Eupora Eagles playing for a state championship in just two years as the coach.
Getting the team to that point in a short amount of time has earned Mitchell the title of Starkville Daily News High School Area Coach of the Year.
Mitchell took a team that finished the regular season 9-9 and turned it around to make a postseason run that ended with a trip to Trustmark Park for the Class 2A State title game.
That kind of accomplishment takes great leadership, determination and a strong work ethic, but for Mitchell, it is not about anything he did. Rather the coach turns it around and gives every bit of the applause to the athletes on the field.
