Brandon McBride's career at Mississippi State has seen many more ups than downs.
The junior distance runner has been at the top of his game most every time it has counted. He won the national championship in the 800-meter run during March's NCAA Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, N.M. He posted a time of 1:48.17.
McBride entered that event as the No. 4 seed, but didn't let that bother him.
The Windsor, Ontario, native carried that momentum over from the indoor championships into May's Southeastern Conference Outdoor Championships for the Bulldogs. He won the 800-meter run there as well with a time of 1:47.59.
